Edinburgh Festival Cavalcade 2009 (22:57)
$100.00

Edinburgh's major festival runs annually over the whole month of August called the Festival Fringe which begins with the annual cavalcade dating back to the 1950's where the parade takes place in Edinburgh's famous Princes Street. However for the first time in it's history, the event in 2009 took place in Holyrood Park due to the ongoing tram work construction at it's traditional location. The cavalcade includes the performers from the three week spectacle, the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo who perform for three weeks on the castle's esplanade. The rest of the parade is made up from the many comedy and dance acts taking part in the festival of that year including many community groups and civilian bands including for the first time in 2009, the Forth Valley Accordian Band from South Queensferry. The event is a delight to locals and many tourists who descend on the city in the summer.
